The Strange Case of Finley Jayne (Steampunk Chronicles, #0.5)

The Strange Case of Finley Jayne (Steampunk Chronicles, #0.5) - Kady Cross The Strange Case of Finley Jayne is a bridge to a series called Steampunk Chronicles. It was quick reading and it was good.

I particularly enjoyed the humour because Finley Jayne is just too funny. Well, Finley Jayne here is not an ordinary human she should be. She’s different and she has unexplained strength in her. Besides, she has good hearing and she heals fast. What and who the real Finley is didn’t mention fully in book. I believe the answer is in The Girl in The Steel Corset.

There was a very mild romance in this book and it got nothing to do with the heroine. The romance was all about Lord Vincent’s love towards his late wife and her death’s tragic.

There was very mild horror too but it wasn’t that scary but it might be since there was a bit kind of gory details.

Overall, the book’s good but I don’t think I will continue this series. I read a lot of bad reviews regarding the first book in the series and honestly, I’m afraid to try. However, I’m interested to develop taste in reading steampunk books!
