I loved this book. I loved Payne like crazy. I fell in love with her, hard. She's the top on the list of my favourite heroines in BDB now! This, my obsession with Payne is cannot be stopped! Payne, Payne. Oh Payne! *sigh*

I loved the romance too. Oh, they are so good together! I loved Manny because he is so kind and sweet. I especially liked this one moment when Manny told Payne that it's not the end of the world or something like that and that got Payne changed her mind. I was scared shitless Ward might kill Payne. Anyway, they're great couple with strong chemistry. Love them, always!

I don't mind a little bit here and there on V and Jane's part but when it took more than half of the book, so to say, and less Payne Manny. What's up with that? This book is for Payne and Manny's, not theirs. So I skimmed most of their parts, only read on the important parts. Payne and Manny's story is so captivating I simply didn't give a shit about V and Jane. Sorry.

Ditto for Qhuinn, Blay, Saxton, Layla.
Ditto for Jose.
Ditto for lessers too.

But not Xcor though. His latter encounter with Payne got me see through Xcor. Somehow, he's damaged, tortured soul vampire. He looked so sad after he learnt the truth. I pitied him because he was in the dark for centuries! Imagine that. I hope he will have his own book and his own happily ever after.

And I demand to have another book for Payne and Manny in the future. Solely about them. I can't get enough of them. Pretty please, Ms. Ward.

Looking forward to read next book. I'm on BDB marathon. Hope it's good. It's Thor, isn't it?
