The Seduction of Elliot McBride (MACKENZIES SERIES)
3 starsThe story was good but it lacked of romance I wanted. Oh, don't get me wrong. Romance is in the book, its just didn't up to my expectation. I must it was mild. Way mild compared to the Mackenzies. Despite that, I loved how they got married because as it happened instantly without any prolonged thoughts. At times I loved how Elliot found safe haven in his new bride. I found that heartwarming because he's a damaged man. His situation is similar to Ian Mackenzie and I felt bad for him. His pasts haunted him and I just wish, like Juliana, I could do whatever it takes to take it away from him. Juliana, I liked her when she's being firm. Something about her that sometimes, I thought she's awesome. Of course, it all ends with happily ever after.
Admittedly, though, I can't help from being disappointed but I'll never let disappointment stop me from my intention to grab the next book in the series. I read the excerpt, it was not really intriguing but enough to spark my curiosity. After all, it's Daniel Mackenzie's book.
Read on your own peril.
