Simply Irresistible

The romance was mild. Full of lust that got me bored and skimmed. Our hero, John "The Wall" Kowalsky was a total jerk from the beginning and thank goodness he became likeable as the story neared its end. I felt sorry for him, though, about his first, late wife Linda and also about his son, Toby. That part of his life was sad and heartbreaking. However, woth Georgeanne came back into his life and this time she wasn't alone, she had someone in her life which happened to be his long lost daughter, Lexie.
I disliked immature Georgeanne but I liked her present. The lady had hard life too. It would be amazing if things with Georgeanne and her mother who didn't want would get further and detail in this book. I just refused to accept the story stopped at Georgeanne just gave up on hope on her mother. I didn't like she kept the truth about the father of hs daughter. Even if she chose to do so, she should at least not to lie to Lexie. I found it wrong, somehow. But still, what would I know about children and family cisis as I have none.
Mae and Hugh's story captivated me at some point. They should have their own book instead of being secondary characters in this book. Yeah, between John and Hugh, I liked Hugh more. He's easygoing and nice guy.
If the romance alone, I rated this book 3 stars but I'm sucker for kids, sucker for adorable Lexie. Hence, another star added. Despite whatever I said, I did enjoy the easy reading.
Read at your peril.
