True Love and Other Disasters

True Love and Other Disasters - Rachel Gibson Whoa, this one was a great read. I got me hooked, stayed up late, and devoured it till finish within. I was hoping for more exciting, promising ending, though. Anyway, on second thoughts, the ending was alright. Besides, I felt the book got a little bit similar with previous book I've read, It Had To Be You by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. Not that I really cared but well, as long as the story's good, I'm cool with it.

Faith Duffy was former stripper, playmate, and a wife to a very rich man. Upon the death of her old, very old husband, she inherited his hockey team, Chinooks. It was a big problem to her because she didn't know any bit about hockey. Not just that, her stepson, Landon wanted to take her team from her and the team's captain, Tyson Savage, disliked her at first but came to love her in the end, and fellow charity, society ladies, didn't want her to do anything with them anymore.

The duo didn't really tortured-souls people but then I would say otherwise if only the story would elaborate more on certain parts. The romance was okay. The thrill was okay too but I was hoping it would be more exciting and dramatic. Yeah, that's pretty much of it.

Recommended.
