Tempting the Beast (Feline Breeds, Book 1)

Tempting the Beast - Lora Leigh My first paranormal read written by Lora Leigh. I'm not really into her Bound Hearts series but I really love her Tempting SEALs series.

Learnt about this book from Goodreads - the series has high rating and so, I got curious. My assumption failed when at first I thought this book is about wolf - but no, it's about cat-human genetic combination sort. I was aiming to read wolf adult romance. Hmm.

Callan Lyons - the hero, is half lion, half human. I always like lions because I found their long mane is sexy. He's an alpha-man, dominant, cold-hearted, overprotective, and possessive. He's hot too. His love interest is Merinus.

The heroine, Merinus Tyler is a journalist. I got really annoyed with her. Stubborn, annoying, irritating. She's crazy. Period. I'm kind of frustrated of why hot, primal, alpha-male hero always get annoying, irritating woman for lover.

I didn't know about others but the "barb" thing, I found it amusing. Read about it only made me laughed out loud. I also did try to think it as it made sense but failed so. Perhaps it's just me.

The romance was mild. Chemistry might have there and it was me who couldn't feel them. The book contains too much steamy scenes. Enjoyed them at first but eventually got bored because of the repetition. I skimmed most of the part.

Should or should not I continue this series?

I recommend you to read this if you're a cat lover (I'm not), fine with BDSM, and crazy heroine.

*By the way, recommend me books with wolves? Adult romance, of course. Thanks in advance!
