Yay, Kate Pearce has given another installment of House of Pleasure series! I love books written by Ms. Pearce. She’s the reason I’ve started to read historical romance and since then, I fell in love with the genre and I always am. Thanks Ms. Pearce!

This book is about Gabriel Swanfield and Lisette Delornay-Ross. The romance was great and intense. I found I truly liked it. What I liked the most the relationship is only just between Gabriel and Lisette. No third party involved which I’m glad. Although there’s mild part of threesome happened which I found not necessarily but still, oh well, this is erotica/romance novel anyway.

Like I said for so many times before, I really love reading about slightly or seriously ill tortured-soul heroes and Gabriel’s not an exception. I liked Gabriel, truly but I got a little bit annoyed with Lisette. However, I’m right along with her when her family was allied with Gabriel and they did something so not good on her.

There is one thing I found really weird and uneasy – this people discussing and talking about sex with their parents. I cringed, shuddered and speechless. Still, this is a work of fiction.

Mild sex, mild BDSM, tiny part on threesome and this book is indeed a love story. Overall, the story’s good. The series is good. And to add of my being obsessed with this series, I can’t wait for the next sequel – Simply Carnal!
