A short story and a bridge to the next book; Half-Blood. Alex or Alexandria is a strong and a half-blood girl. She ran away from the danger and death threat from creatures called Daimon. A creepy and scary creatures who killed purers for their essence.

Although her mom told her not to return to where they once belonged, Covenant, but Alex had no choice and she had no where else to go. She's on her own now. Her mom's gone, being killed and drained to death by daimons. That part, her mom died and she grieved, was so terribly sad.

I can't wait for the next book!
