Finally, I got the chance to read about deadly mermaid. This kind of mermaid isn't like The Little Mermaid, it's siren and it kills. I'm thrilled! The story begins with Lexi who grief and live in her curse life. The curse is passed from generation to generation. Lexi got the curse from her mother, who killed herself because she killed a man. Lexi, who without any knowledge about it, too, killed a guy, her boyfriend, Steven. She is grieving and mourning for him for like everyday. Everyday before she goes for swimming in the lake, a place where she can't lure and kill a man, any man. She doesn't sleep, too.I felt really bad for Lexi because she's having a hard time. She lost someone who dears to her, not just her boyfriend but also her mom. Her dad has left because he couldn't handle the truth because the curse, those who have it, didn't deserve to be loved. Those who'll know about it, they will leave. She isolates herself from her former friends because she doesn't them to find out of about her and she wants to protect them from her too. Thank goodness there's Cole. I liked him. No, I loved him. He's hot and he does care for Lexi. He falls in love with her even before Lexi and Steven became a boyfriend-girlfriend. Lexi finds that she loves him too but she knows she can't have him because if she lets Cole in her life, his life would be in danger. And here comes Erik, another hot guy. Actually, if Erik is different from what he is, I wanted him to be Lexi's match because there's something about him that I liked.
