Tempest Rising
Characters - It involves with Tempest (human-mermaid), mom named Cecily (greatest mer priestess), Kano/Kai (selkie and Tempest's soulmate), Tiamat (the evil sea dragon), Mark (Tempest's human boyfriend).I liked this book because of all the mermaid books I've read, this is the first that writes about transformation of someone into mermaid. It's so interesting and I'm so on it. It's because of that I continued reading this book until the end.
Tempest mom, the greatest and powerful mer priestess - she died and truthfully, I'm really upset that her character has to end just like that. I really want to get to know this lady more and I want to experience how powerful she is that even Tiamat has difficulty to defeat her but she just gone, like that.
Is there any book that doesn't have to involve with love triangle because honestly, I'm sick reading about it. I've read them enough in vampires, faeries, werewolves, and human. Does it have to be included too in mermaids? I hope there's none (or haven't found one) in Greek mythology - demigods, gods, goddesses. Mark is a nice guy and yeah, he's hot. Kano/Kai too. I love the instant chemistry builds for the first time he met Tempest. Connection, as they call it. But still, I'm not liking love triangle.
I've learned from the author that new sequel will be out next May (2012) and I'm looking for it.
Cover - The cover is very pretty but the tattoo is not what I've imagined it would be. And... it's purple. My favourite colour.
