The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Book 1)
I do not know when I started to get interested with Greek mythology but I know that, once I heard these words; gods and goddesses, my mind will start to think about, "Will it be the story about Greek?". I love this book because the adventures in it.I feel the characters very much that I felt I were in the story. The very crucial and scary part is the Underworld (I admitted that Hades' Rottweiler is really poor guy). Underworld being packed and crowded with dead souls really scared me off. Though Percy mentioned these souls aren't scary but just sad, however, it is scary to me because these souls being have nowhere to go and longed to wait for the next step for thousands of years - you know, doing nothing, a boring afterlife and eternal punishments. I wonder if Hell is similar to that or even worse? *Shiver*
And this Luke, it's so sad to that he's the friend who betrayed Percy because I imagined this guy to be a very nice person and handsome too. But of course, I wouldn't expect the liar would be Annabeth or Grover which at first I taught it would be one of them. Overall, the story's just fine. Oh yeah, the part that is still freshly in my mind when I read about Kronos devoured and ate his children because he's afraid his power'll be taken. It made me gagged! Oh Lord, that's just euw. Seriously.
