See Jane Date (Red Dress Ink)
There's a story how I came across this book. I am a big fan of U.S. TV series called Chuck - so, I'm a fan of Zachary Levi and Yvonne Strahovski. I googled for Zachary's filmography at Wikipedia and saw a film titled See Jane Date. I clicked upon it and this film actually is based on the book with the same title! So to conclude everything, here I am, just finished reading the book and am going to review it!I love this book because it has witty sense of humour. At the very first page of this book, you have already laughed! Don't you find it's amazing to have a book which is beginning to make you laugh? This book is about a single, magazine assistant editor for six years named Jane Gregg, received an invitation to her younger cousin's wedding that stated to bring a date. To make things worst, a girl she hated since high school, Natasha Nutley or Gnat (a nickname made by Jane) talked about boyfriend topic and insisted plus thrilled to see Jane's boyfriend to which - Jane hasn't have one (well, Jane's fault since she lied about having a bf).
So, Jane undergone series of blind dates with unfortunate results within two months before her younger's cousin wedding. Jane has two best friends who helped and encouraged her in finding her dates - Eloise and Amanda. These two girls have been very fond to Jane and they're always having a night out together to talk just about everything. Apart from the boring two months of bridesmaid hell (as mentioned above), she also have to endure with Natasha's memoir to which she really worked on very hard because it was the only chance she had to get promoted from Assistant Editor to Associate Editor.
Okay, in this book you will stumble upon the series's of Jane's blind dates and awful turnouts. The humour in it is all along the book and so I can assure you that, you can't stop flipping the page. I recommend this book to all single and 20s, 30s ladies.
There's another thing, I think Melissa Senate (the author) really loves a name starts with J. Why? In this book, these are characters that name starts with J - Jane, Jeremy, Jeff, Jimmy, and two Julie. =) I'm an observant person? Yes, I am. LOL. Enjoy reading!
